Matthew 4: 1 - 25
This is part 2 of the Matthew chapter series.
Lesson 4:
Jesus fasted for 40 days and 40 nights.
There is the need for every believer to fast very often to get spiritual strength to be able to resist the devil's challenges.
Christian Lesson:
Jesus been the son of God had power to start his ministry right away but as we all know, he didn't just appear out of the skies and started his ministry. He become a complete human being as the word of God says in John chapter 1; that the word became flesh an dwell among us. And knowing how weak our flesh or body is, and how it is always in conflict with the spirit in us. There was a need to fast, go completely without food which nourishes the flesh so that the spirit in him can over take and control his bodily desires.
Beloved, if we do not add fasting to our Christian living, we will grow weaker and weaker spiritually and can never be able to overcome the devil and his schemes. If we want to be hot, we must be super hot but lukewarm people are the most hated by God.
Lesson 5:
Jesus Started preaching about"Repentance for the kingdom of heaven is near".
Christian lesson:
Believers can form a habit of sharing the love of Christ Jesus with everybody we meet. Example; when one go to shopping, or groceries, you can say, "Thank you and Jesus loves you" to the shop attendants. Do your part by speaking the word and leave the rest to God. The Apostle Paul said; How will the world hear about Christ, unless the Christians take the gospel to them? So by sharing the"Jesus loves you" with people in your community, and everywhere, Christ will do the rest by making your message ring in their hearts.
Lesson 6:
When Jesus Calls You, You must leave everything and follow Him.
Matthew 4:22 immediately they(James and John) sons of Zebedee left their boat and their father.
Christian Lesson:
If you say, you are Christ-follower and still holding and clinging to worldly passion, fashion, and looking at your shoulders if your friends, husband, wife, siblings are also doing the same thing before you follow suit , then you are not truly for Christ. Because Jesus said, if anyone wants to follow him, then let him deny himself everything, leave that family, friends. And don't be bothered about what they would think, or say, or do before you worship God truthfully or whole. You must be self disciplined. Because without self discipline, there can be no discipleship. You can not be a disciple of Christ if you possess things of the devil.. Bible says; If anyone is in Christ he's a new creature, the old things has passed away, and all things are new.
We must surrender everything and follow Jesus. Don't wait for anyone before you serve God.
Lesson 7:
Healing and Deliverance Followed Christ Jesus 's Preaching of the kingdom.
After the Lord Jesus preached the good news of the kingdom of heaven to the people, signs and wonders followed His message.
Christian Lesson:
If we learn the word of God and pray diligently, whenever we preach the gospel to the world, sign and wonders will follow our message. This only happens when the child of God has thoroughly equipped him or herself with prayers, fasting and learning the bible. The word of God is always "YES" and we respond by faith "AMEN" and it is done for us but we must believe first, that He(Jesus) exist and He's the re-warder of those who diligently seek him.

I want to give you the opportunity to give your life to Jesus and
surrender your will to Him to be your Lord and personal savior so that He can
give you relief from every bondage the devil has put you in. His word says in
Matthew 11: 28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and
I will give you rest.
Say this salvation prayers with me:
Dear
Jesus, thank you for loving me, thank you for dying on the cross for me. Jesus,
please forgive me for all the evil things I have done. I am sorry. Jesus, I
want to be a child of God and follow you, please teach me to do what is right.
Jesus I want you to be my Lord and savior, please come into my heart, and fill
me with your Holy Spirit. Jesus, please protect me from the evil one and save
me, so that I may go to heaven with you. I also pray that you would save my
friends and family. I love you Jesus, I want to know you, and be close to you.
In Jesus name I pray Amen.
